The Cork Association London have long provided an important forum for socialising and networking for the Irish community in Britain.
They were one of the first organisations formed by the new arrivals to the United Kingdom.
The association provided a vital support at a time when there were few services available by the British Government.
The move to Britain provided for some an exciting opportunity for betterment, for others,it gave rise to loneliness, homesickness and uncertainty.
The Cork Association has been invaluable in providing a "home away from home" a forum where people could meet, have fun and establish lasting friendships.
The following pages present information about our work, the people you can contact, events that are forthcoming and some historical information about Cork and its past dignitaries.
